Samty sells two investment pools of Japan multifamily assets worth JPY49 bil

The initial investment pool includes eight assets that will be managed solely by Samty, while the standing 22 assets will be co-managed by Samty and Japan real property investment organization company Alyssa Partners.

Japanese developer Samty Holdings has released the sale of 2 investment pools of multifamily properties developed and acquired by the business. In a Sept 2 launch, Samty states the assets were marketed to global sovereign wealth funds. Samty will continue to be as the top resource supervisor of both investment pools.

The investment pools encompass 30 newly-built multifamily assets with a gross asset worth of JPY49 billion ($0.43 billion), with 70% located in Tokyo, Osaka and other large urban areas throughout Japan.

Hillhouse operates Samty alongside Daiwa Securities, Samty’s formerly biggest shareholder, which maintained its shares in the company according to the purchase.
