How Gen Z consumers and the ‘trust economy’ are changing the mall experience
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong officiated the function, providing the Champion of Good grants, whilst Senior Minister of State for Culture, Community and Youth, and Trade and Industry Low Yen Ling provided the Business of Good– 3 Hearts awards.
Small and medium-sized ventures accounted for most of receivers, composing 376 groups, or 78% of the total amount.
“Ten years on, Company of Good has actually shown that Corporate Function is increasingly becoming an integral part of how organisations create worth for their stakeholders and the wider culture,” says Tony Soh, PRESIDENT, NVPC.
An overall of 481 services were recognised as Firms of Good by the National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre (NVPC) this year, as the campaign noted its 10th commemoration. The recognition honours organizations that produce favorable social influence in Singapore.
Another 113 business obtained the Firm of Good– 3 Hearts recognition, consisting of 8M Realty, Banyan Tree Holdings, Far East Orchard, OUE REIT Management and Savills (Singapore).
This year’s cohort consists of 177 Company of Good– 1 Heart receivers, among them Colliers, Fraxtor, Craig Road Property, Ngee Koon, and Momentus Hotel Alexandra.
Over the last three years, 1,046 recognised Companies of Good have mutually contributed close to $384 million in cash donations, greater than $85 million in contributions in-kind, and over 1.1 million volunteer hours.
At the same time, 63 companies were given the Champion of Good award– the greatest tier of the recognition system– consisting of Kuok (Singapore), Lendlease Global Commercial Trust Management, Mapletree Investments and TS Team.
“As we look in advance, NVPC will concentrate on strengthening the community of Firms of Good and allowing organisations to gain from one another, collaborate throughout businesses and sectors and produce effect together,” includes Soh.
The statement was made at NVPC’s Business of Good Conference and Conferment held on July 20 at Fairmont Singapore, which saw around 700 business heads gathered up.
